What exactly is a Hull Identification Number (HIN)?

A HIN is a unique 12-character identifier assigned to every boat built since 1972. It’s essentially the DNA of your vessel, allowing us to track ownership changes, accidents, and title history across global databases.

How accurate is the data in the reports?

Our reports aggregate data from the USCG, NMVTIS, insurance registries, and salvage yards. While we use Tier-1 data sources, we always recommend a professional marine survey for physical inspections.

How long does it take to receive my report?

Can I search by boat name instead of HIN?

No. Boat names are not unique and can overlap. To ensure 100% precision, we exclusively use the Hull Identification Number (HIN), USCG Documentation Number, or State Registration Number.
